Ingredients
Ingredients
- 16 ounces strawberries (hulled)
- 1/4 cup sugar (or honey)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Blend the ingredients: Place the hulled strawberries, sugar (or honey), and fresh lemon juice into a blender or food processor. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth to create the sorbet base.
- Freeze the mixture: Pour the blended strawberry mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container. Cover the container tightly with its lid and freeze for 24 hours to prepare it for processing.
- Prepare for processing: Remove the lid from the frozen pint container and place the container onto the Ninja Creami base. Then, securely add the processing lid.
- Process into sorbet: Place the pint with the lid onto the Ninja Creami base. Select the "SORBET" button on the machine. Process according to the manufacturer’s instructions until the mixture has a smooth sorbet consistency.
Notes
- You can substitute honey for sugar if a natural sweetener is preferred.
- Using fresh or frozen strawberries works equally well for this recipe.
- Be sure to freeze the mixture for a full 24 hours before processing to achieve the best texture.
- If the sorbet is too crumbly after processing, use the Ninja Creami's re-spin function to smooth it out further.
- Fresh lemon juice enhances the flavor but can be adjusted based on taste preference.
