Description

The Golden Peach Sunrise Smoothie is a vibrant, creamy, and refreshing drink featuring layers of smooth peach and citrus blended mixture interspersed with tart raspberry juice. Infused with fresh ginger, turmeric, and optional camu camu powder, this smoothie offers a perfect balance of sweetness, spice, and tang, making it a delightful and healthful start to your day.

Ingredients

Fruit and Vegetables

  • ¼ cup raspberries, fresh or thawed frozen
  • 1 small orange, peeled and wedges separated
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and chopped
  • 1-2 frozen ripe peaches (about 1 ½ heaped cups of frozen peach chunks)
  • 1-inch piece ginger, peeled and chopped
  • ½ tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Spices and Powders

  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon camu camu powder (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla powder or extract
  • Tiny pinch of sea salt and ground black pepper

Liquids

  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

  1. Mash the raspberries: In a small bowl, use a fork to mash the raspberries until their juices start to release. You may strain out the seeds if desired, or leave them for texture. Set this raspberry juice and purée aside for layering later.
  2. Blend the smoothie base: In an upright blender, combine the orange wedges, chopped carrot, frozen peaches, peeled ginger, ground turmeric, optional camu camu powder, vanilla powder or extract, salt, black pepper, fresh lemon juice, and water. Blend on high until the mixture is creamy, thick, and smooth. Use a tamper if your blender has one to ensure even blending.
  3. Layer and serve: Pour one third of the peach smoothie mixture into a glass. Then gently pour one third of the raspberry juice on top to create a layered effect. Repeat this layering once more with the remaining smoothie and raspberry juice. Enjoy the smoothie immediately while fresh and chilled.

Notes

  • You can substitute frozen nectarines for the peaches if preferred, or try frozen mango and pineapple to create an alternate tropical version.
  • The camu camu powder is optional and provides a strong tangy flavor; if omitted, increase the lemon juice slightly for brightness.
  • This smoothie combines creamy sweetness with subtle spiciness from ginger and turmeric plus tart raspberry layers for a complex flavor profile.
