Description

A creamy and flavorful Garlic Parmesan Beef Pasta made with tender ground beef, rotini pasta, and a rich garlic Parmesan cream sauce, perfect for a comforting weeknight meal ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

For the Pasta

  • 10 ounces dried rotini pasta (approximately 2.5 cups before cooking)
  • Pinch of salt (for pasta water)

For the Sauce and Beef

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup beef broth (low or no sodium preferred)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley (optional; can substitute with dried parsley)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil water with a pinch of salt and cook the rotini pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside while preparing the sauce.
  2. Cook the Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, finely chopped onion, and minced garlic. Season with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and onion powder. Cook and crumble the beef until it is no longer pink. Drain excess grease if necessary, then return the beef mixture to the skillet.
  3. Make the Sauce: To the beef mixture in the skillet, add beef broth, heavy cream, freshly grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir well and cook for 3 to 5 minutes over medium heat until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked rotini pasta to the skillet with the sauce and beef. Stir thoroughly to evenly coat the pasta with the sauce.
  5. Season and Garnish: Taste the dish and adjust salt and pepper as needed. Stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh chopped parsley if using.
  6. Serve: Plate the pasta and garnish with the remaining parsley on top before serving. Enjoy your creamy Garlic Parmesan Beef Pasta!

Notes

  • Use low or no sodium beef broth to control salt intake.
  • Drain excess grease from the cooked beef to reduce fat content if desired.
  • Fresh Parmesan cheese will melt better and create a creamier sauce.
  • Parsley is optional but adds a fresh flavor and appealing color.
  • For a lighter option, consider substituting heavy cream with half-and-half, though sauce will be less rich.
