Description

Delight in these refreshing Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Clusters, a perfect blend of sweet strawberries coated in creamy Greek yogurt, dipped in a smooth chocolate shell. These bite-sized frozen treats are easy to make, healthy, and great for a cool snack or dessert.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries, diced (stems removed)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baking sheet: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the clusters from sticking and allow easy removal after freezing.
  2. Mix strawberry mixture: In a large bowl, combine the diced strawberries, plain Greek yogurt, and vanilla extract. Stir thoroughly to ensure all the berries are evenly coated with the yogurt mixture.
  3. Form clusters: Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the strawberry-yogurt mixture for each cluster and place them spaced apart on the parchment-lined baking sheet. The recipe yields about 8 clusters.
  4. Freeze clusters: Transfer the baking sheet to the freezer and freeze the clusters for 30 to 45 minutes until they are firm but still soft enough to bite comfortably.
  5. Melt chocolate coating: Approximately 10 minutes before the clusters are done freezing, place the semisweet chocolate chips and coconut oil in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until the chocolate mixture is smooth and fully melted.
  6. Dip clusters in chocolate: Remove the frozen clusters from the freezer. Quickly dip each cluster into the melted chocolate using a large spoon, ensuring they're well coated, then place them back on the baking sheet.
  7. Set the chocolate: Allow the chocolate-coated clusters to sit for a few minutes at room temperature. The chocolate will harden into a crisp shell, making them ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor and texture.
  • You can substitute plain Greek yogurt with a flavored variety if preferred, but it may alter the sweetness.
  • For a dairy-free version, use a plant-based yogurt and dairy-free chocolate chips.
  • Store leftover clusters in an airtight container in the freezer to keep them fresh.
  • Be careful not to let the chocolate overheat when melting to prevent burning.
