Description

Delicious and easy Air Fryer Churro Bites made from angel food cake cubes coated in cinnamon sugar and served with a creamy cinnamon cream cheese dipping sauce. Ready in just 20 minutes, these bite-sized treats are perfect for a quick dessert or snack with a light and fluffy texture.

Ingredients

Churro Bites

  • 1/2 Angel Food Cake, cubed
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Cinnamon
  • Cooking oil spray

Cream Cheese Dipping Sauce

  • 1/4 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup Butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup Milk

Instructions

  1. Air Fry Cake Cubes: Place the angel food cake cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray them with cooking oil to help achieve a crispy texture, then air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes until the edges are slightly crisp.
  2. Coat with Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Transfer the warm cake bites along with the cinnamon sugar mixture into a large bowl or gallon-sized zip-top bag. Gently shake or stir to evenly coat the bites with the cinnamon sugar.
  3. Prepare Cream Cheese Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and milk. Mix until smooth and creamy. Adjust the consistency by adding more powdered sugar to thicken or more milk to thin the sauce.
  4. Serve: Plate the churro bites and serve with the cinnamon cream cheese dipping sauce for a delightful sweet snack.

Notes

  • Use fresh angel food cake for the best texture.
  • Adjust the air fryer time slightly based on your model to avoid overcooking the bites.
  • For a thicker dipping sauce, add more powdered sugar; for a thinner sauce, increase milk gradually.
  • These churro bites are best served warm.
